How to Use the Resources

The Resources page is not a library to browse someday. Every item on it is scheduled: it makes a specific session sharper, or it extends a specific skill after the program. This lesson is the map. The rule behind it — nothing in this program is homework for its own sake. If an item does not make an hour of the course more valuable, it is not on the page.

Before kickoff: 90 minutes of pre-work

Watch Intro to Large Language Models (Karpathy, 1 hour). It builds the mental model that the How Language Models Work lesson then sharpens for the workplace — arriving with it, the lesson becomes confirmation instead of first contact. If you like visual intuition, the 3Blue1Brown transformers video (27 minutes) is the optional deeper layer.

Then skim the worksheet list at the bottom of the Resources page. You will fill most of them in during sessions; knowing they exist tells you where your deliverables will live.

During each phase

Phase 1 — Foundations. After the prompting lesson, watch Anthropic's AI prompt engineering: A deep dive — the roundtable where the method you just learned came from. Watch How I use LLMs (Karpathy) in the same week; it is the best available picture of fluent daily practice.
Phase 2 — Functional Tracks. Keep the Claude Help Center open during labs; it answers the "where is that setting" questions without burning session time. Watch the practitioner interview that matches your track before your session — Eleanor Vann for support, Sophia Reid for sales, Mick Larson for engineering, Tom Harris for finance and leadership. You will recognize your session's decisions in their stories.
Phase 3 — Systems and Governance. Builders read Building Effective Agents and keep the MCP documentation at hand. Policy, security, and privacy owners work from the Trust Center and the Anthropic Usage Policy — those two pages answer most of the questions your reviewers will raise. Engineers watching the Boris Cherny Claude Code talk will arrive at the agentic lessons with the right instincts.

The books

Books are for the weeks between sessions and the months after — one at a time, matched to your role, always read with a workflow you own in mind:

Everyone: Co-Intelligence — the working stance this whole program teaches, in book form.
Leaders: Prediction Machines, then The Coming Wave — the economics of AI decisions, then the governance stakes.
Process and operations owners: Working with AI and Human + Machine — case studies of redesigning real jobs, not replacing them.

After the program

The Further Learning Paths lesson in Phase 4 turns this map into a per-role continuation plan, with Anthropic Academy as the free self-paced spine. The Resources page stays with you after the cohort ends — links are re-verified at every refresh.
